I am involved with a German Shepherd Rescue Charity and their website was seriously old, tired and in desperate need of updating. So I decided to make an appointment to see what Scott and his team could offer.

The professionalism and courtesy afforded to me was welcoming and refreshing. My ideas were listened to and not prejudged with "it can only be done this way". What's more we required a CMS website and when I had discussions with other web developers, they had been extremely defensive and felt that operating and updating a website would probably be too much for me...!

A little bit about the German Shepherd Rescue South website project...

German Shepherd Rescue South is a small registered charity which rescues and rehomes unwanted, abused or stray German Shepherd dogs, throughout the UK. They contacted us because they needed a new website to replace their existing website that was dated and tricky to edit.

The requirements were simple. The new site needed to be user friendly and approachable to appeal to new visitors, but the team who look after the charity also need to update content and add new images easily. As new dogs arrive, they need to make sure that the website is kept up to date and reflects what is currently happening within the charity.

With this in mind, we started by recreating their current site structure, so we had a good idea of what sort of content was needed. In this time, we also applied the design and added in their current content from their existing site. Once we had everything in place, we sent the link over for German Shepherd Rescue South to take a look at it.

After some discussions we began making some adjustments to the structure to best suit their users. The users journey had to be perfect. Once we and they were happy with the new site, we were ready to go live! The new site is much friendlier, visually appealing, and they can keep it up to date with the amazing work they are doing for German Shepherd Dogs and their owners.
