So, how much should a website cost in 2024?

It’s worth remembering that a website is an investment. It’s as straightforward as that. It forms a significant part (or all) of many companies’ yearly advertising and marketing budgets.

It’s the first interaction your potential customers could have with your company. It shapes their perception of your business in seconds and is your ‘front-facing employee’.

A poor website can hurt you, as potential customers contact your competitor after being turned off or not finding what they need quickly.

We don’t sell ‘packages’.

Ugh, packages. One of the worst things we see in our industry is “A 5-page website will cost you Blah” and “A 10-page website will cost you Blah Blah”.

What if one of those pages has an interactive map or clever filter of your latest case studies? What if one page only has an image and some text?

We hate categorising content into pages in our project cost and certainly don’t work on a ‘price for six pages’ scenario.

Modern websites are not developed page by page. Instead, they are a combination of page layouts and sections that can easily be added to as many pages as you like.

We price bespoke to your needs.

Our bespoke website design & development is priced based on your brief and needs. We consider every detail and provide you with a fixed project fee.

This fixed cost is dependent on many factors, such as –

  • Functionality needed
  • Project timescales
  • Possible design complexities
  • Size of the website
  • Content editing needs
  • Existing content migration
  • Complex browser testing
  • Advanced SEO needs
  • …and many more!

Making sense so far? Good. Now the juicy bit…

Currently, for 2024…

Small showcase website

Typically starting at around the £1,000+VAT price point, going up to around £2,000+VAT.

These are your smaller, static showcase sites. Perfect for startups or smaller businesses with not a lot of content currently. A great starting point that can be built upon over time.

Small/medium website

Typically between £1,800 – £4,500+VAT.

These sites have more content, and functionality, maybe a blog, case studies etc. They take more time to plan, design & develop, ensuring everything fits together perfectly and is as simple as possible for you to maintain going forward.

Bells & whistles

These sites typically need a lot of bespoke functionality, communication, and iteration.

Sites with a lot of content or that need unique navigation, for example, and complex, dynamic functionality. Project costs from £4,500 and the sky is the limit.
